Three Cleaning Methods – We Choose the Best for Your Garment

Every garment is different, and choosing the right cleaning method determines the result. At Superpesula, we do not clean everything the same way – we assess each garment individually and select the best method for it.

Dry Cleaning – The Gentlest Option for Delicate Materials

Dry cleaning is the best choice for fabrics that cannot withstand water or where the risk of dimensional changes is high. The process uses solvent instead of water, making it particularly gentle.
Dry cleaning is superior at removing grease, stearin and resin stains. These stains do not come out in regular wet cleaning, but in dry cleaning they dissolve effectively.

Particularly suitable for:

  • Silk and wool garments
  • Suits and blazers
  • Formal wear and wedding dresses
  • Thin and delicate fabrics
  • Garments with grease or resin stains

Emulsion Cleaning – The Best of Both Methods

Emulsion cleaning combines the advantages of dry cleaning and wet cleaning. The method uses both solvent and water, allowing removal of both oil-based and water-soluble stains in a single cleaning cycle.
Emulsion cleaning is an excellent choice for garments with multiple types of stains or that require more thorough cleaning than dry cleaning alone.

Particularly suitable for:

  • Outerwear and jackets
  • Garments with multiple types of stains
  • Materials that can withstand light moisture treatment
  • Work and everyday garments requiring deeper cleaning

Wet Cleaning – Most Effective for Perspiration and Food

Wet cleaning is the most effective method for treating heavy perspiration and food stains. We recommend wet cleaning whenever the garment’s care instructions allow it and stains need to be treated with water.
Wet cleaning is also the most environmentally friendly of our options. When the garment’s material can withstand water treatment, we choose it as our primary method.

Particularly suitable for:

  • Cotton garments and blended fabrics
  • Garments with perspiration or food stains
  • Sheet and linen-type materials
  • Washable work and sportswear

Formal Wear Cleaning – From Wedding Dresses to Evening Gowns

Formal wear is valuable and often delicate – cleaning it requires special care and expertise. At Superpesula, formal wear cleaning always includes dry and/or emulsion cleaning as well as careful finishing.
Wedding dress cleaning is one of the most demanding tasks in a laundry. Dresses often combine many different materials – silk, lace, satin, organza and beads – all requiring their own treatment. We have years of experience in cleaning and handling wedding dresses.

Our formal wear services:

  • Wedding dresses (€109–179) Cleaning includes material inspection, dry and/or emulsion cleaning, stain removal and careful finishing. Each wedding dress is treated individually.
  • Evening gowns (€109–179) Long and short evening gowns, embellishments and special materials – we clean and finish them to formal perfection.
  • Dinner jackets and tailcoats (€51.80) Men’s formal wear pressed and finished – ready for the next occasion.
  • Other formal wear Formal dresses (€45.90–55.90), veils (€29.90) and accessories – all under one roof.

Outerwear and Jacket Cleaning

Jackets and outerwear are constantly exposed to dirt, moisture and odors – yet they are often cleaned too infrequently. Professional cleaning significantly extends the garment’s lifespan and restores the material’s properties.
We clean all types of outerwear according to their material requirements. A down jacket requires different treatment than a wool coat, and a leather jacket different treatment than a GoreTex shell. We recognize the differences and act accordingly.

Outerwear cleaning specialties:

  • Down and padded jacket cleaning Down jacket cleaning requires special expertise to prevent the down from clumping and to ensure the jacket retains its insulating properties. We clean down and padded jackets using both wet cleaning and dry cleaning depending on the material.
  • Wool and overcoats Wool coats, cashmere coats and other fine outerwear are dry cleaned to preserve the material’s feel and fit.
  • Leather and suede Leather garments require special treatment to keep the leather supple and the color even. We clean leather jackets, trousers, skirts and dresses professionally.
  • GoreTex and technical materials Technical outdoor clothing and motorcycle gear – we clean according to manufacturer’s instructions to ensure the membrane retains its waterproofing.

Everyday Garments – Professionally Cleaned

A laundry is not just for formal wear and jackets. At Superpesula, you can get professional cleaning and finishing for everyday garments too – and you will notice the difference in results immediately.
A dress shirt from a laundry is a different matter than one washed at home: pressed collar, neat seams and smooth surface. The same applies to trousers, where pressing is part of the service, and knitwear, which retains its shape thanks to professional cleaning.

Odor Removal and Protective Treatments

Sometimes a garment is clean but smells – from tobacco, moisture, mold or cooking. Ozonation effectively removes odors from the garment’s structure, without cleaning or in conjunction with cleaning.
Protective treatment creates an invisible protective layer on the garment’s surface that repels dirt and liquids. It is an excellent additional service especially for outerwear and valuable textiles.

Odor removal (ozonation):

  • With cleaning: €11–16 (depending on garment size)
  • Odor removal only without cleaning: €23–33
  • Shoes: €16 / pair

Protective treatment:

  • Outerwear: €13
  • Indoor garment: €11
  • Home textiles: €11

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my garment needs dry cleaning or wet cleaning?

First check the garment’s care label. If you are unsure, bring the garment to us – we will assess the material and recommend the appropriate cleaning method free of charge. As a general rule, dry cleaning is suitable for delicate materials (silk, wool, fine fabrics) and wet cleaning for more durable fabric types.
Most stains can be removed with professional treatment. Dry cleaning is superior for grease, stearin and resin stains, while wet cleaning is best for perspiration and food stains. Old and dried stains can be more challenging – stains treated fresh come out best. Tell us about the stains when you bring the garment, and we will treat them separately.
Dry cleaning does not cause dimensional changes, which is why we use it for the most delicate materials. In wet cleaning, we always follow the garment’s care instructions precisely. Professional cleaning is a safer option than home washing for valuable garments precisely because we know how to select the right method.
Suits, dress shirts and regular garments 3–4 business days. Outerwear and curtains 5–6 business days. Wedding and evening gowns 5–10 business days. Express service is available for an additional fee – ask us.
No. We only use fragrance-free and hypoallergenic detergents from eco-certified suppliers. Garments are safe even for sensitive skin after cleaning.
Certainly! We have no minimum order quantity. You can bring one dress shirt or an entire wardrobe for cleaning – we serve with the same professionalism.
